BeachLife announces refund policy after winds cut music festival short – Orange County Register

BeachLife organizers announced they will issue refunds to some ticket holders after high winds caused the cancellation of performances by some top acts on Sunday, May 5, of the three-day music festival in Redondo Beach.

Many musical acts performed on Sunday, with ZZ Top ending its set a few songs early as winds up to nearly 45 mph sent the performers’ legendary beards sideways. Sunday ticket holders did, however, miss key scheduled sets after 5 p.m. by Fleet Foxes, Trey Anastasio and Classic Tab, as well by headliner My Morning Jacket.

Depending upon whether patrons purchased single-day or three-day tickets and how much time they spent Sunday on festival grounds dictates the amount of refund offered, according to BeachLife organizers.

Sunday single-day ticket holders can receive:

–A full refund if they had not arrived before the evacuation; or

–A refund of 75% of the ticket price if they attended part of the day’s event between 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; or

–A free Sunday single-day pass for BeachLife in May 2025.

Three-day ticket holders can receive:

–A 33.33% refund if they had not arrived before the evacuation; or

A refund of 25% of the ticket price if they attended part of the day’s events between 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; or

A free Sunday single-day pass for BeachLife in May 2025.

Patrons have 30 days to submit a claim for a refund, beginning Monday, May 13 at 9 a.m. It will take about 10 days to receive a response, according to organizers.
