Fan Expo Boston will welcome Rosario Dawson, Chevy Chase, Marisa Tomei, and more to the Hynes Convention Center this weekend.

More than 30 celebrities famed for their work in the Star Wars, Star Trek, and Marvel franchises will be in Boston this weekend for the 2024 edition of Fan Expo Boston, a yearly pop culture extravaganza at the Hynes Convention Center.

Along with the annual PAX East, Fan Expo Boston has established itself as one of the biggest fan conventions in New England, filling the 110,000-square-foot space with photo ops, merch booths, interactive games, cosplay contests, and hundreds of other programs and activities centered around pop culture, movies, television, anime, comics, gaming, and more.

One of the biggest stars making an appearance, actress Rosario Dawson, has spent decades compiling nerd cred with roles in Marvel shows (“Daredevil,” “Luke Cage,” “Iron Fist”), Star Wars shows (“The Mandalorian,” “Ahsoka”), DC animated titles (voicing Wonder Woman, Batgirl, and Catwoman), and countless video game voiceover credits.

Other top-of-the-line names include Mads Mikkelsen (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” “Hannibal”), Bryce Dallas Howard (“Jurassic World,” “Spider-Man 3”), Hugh Dancy (“Hannibal,” “Ella Enchanted”) and Marisa Tomei (“My Cousin Vinny,” “Spider-Man: Homecoming”).

While the focus is heavy on the sci-fi and superhero genres, there are other areas represented as well. Several stars of the “National Lampoon” movies, including Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo, Randy Quaid, and Dana Barron, will be on hand to sign autographs. So too will a pair of “Saved by the Bell” stars in Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Mario Lopez.

For animation fans, some of the most prolific voice actors of the last 40 years will be there in the flesh, including Maurice LaMarche (“Pinky and the Brain,” “Futurama”), Dee Bradley Baker (Looney Tunes, “American Dad,” “Legends of the Hidden Temple”), and Shameik Moore (“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”).

Fan Expo Boston opens its doors Friday, June 14 from 4-9 p.m., and will continue on Saturday (10-7 p.m.) and Sunday (10-5 p.m). Single-day general admission tickets start at $43, while three-day GA passes begin at $105. There are also deals for families and children, and all pricing tiers can be found on the Fan Expo Boston website.
