LIVE SOON: San Francisco’s GLIDE church holds memorial for late Rev. Cecil Williams

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) —The San Francisco community will continue to honor the life of Reverend Cecil Williams, who died last month at the age of 94.

His memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. at GLIDE Memorial Church.

Williams is best known for his stewardship of Glide Memorial Church in the city’s Tenderloin, where he oversaw multiple community outreach projects to hundreds of thousands of impoverished residents for over six decades.

The service will be streamed live in the video player above beginning at 1 p.m.
