Authorities are seeking the owner of a “beautiful young female Pit Mix” who was found, seemingly lost and malnourished, in the Blue Hills Reservation this week.

The person who found the dog dropped her off at the State Police barracks in Milton early Monday morning, after seeing her near the roadway.

When the rescuer stopped along the roadway and opened a door to the car, the dog immediately jumped in, per a release from police.

Troopers said she has seems to have some basic obedience training, including responding to “sit” and “come” commands.

“The dog appeared to be malnourished and was starving for attention, it is unknown how long this sweet lady has been on her own,” authorities noted.

Troopers purchased dog food to feed her and kept her busy for a few hours, dubbing her the mascot for State Police in Milton before Milton Animal Control took her in under its care later.
