Berlin-based Blacklane, which added Boston and other U.S. routes last year, has now launched a “City-to-Beach” service between Boston and the Cape.

The service, which includes flexible scheduling and door-to-door pickup, is an extension of the company’s City-to-City service and takes users from metropolitan cities to major beach destinations across the country.

Customers enjoy “personalized service, comfort, and peace of mind, elevating any beach vacation to a luxurious experience,” according to the company.

The company said the idea came from a survey it conducted in which half of Americans said they planned to hit the beach up to five times this summer, but more than 60% said stressful and busy airports and train stations could potentially ruin their summer plans.

Thirty-nine percent of survey respondents also noted that parking is the most frustrating part of traveling to the beach.

The following are the Boston to Cape Cod routes included in the new service:

  • Boston to the Barnstable area
  • Boston to Falmouth
  • Boston to Provincetown

The cost for the Boston to Cape routes is between $255 and $345, according to the company.

Blacklane offers city-to-city long distance commutes, airport transfers, in-city chauffeur hailing, and chauffeur-by-the-hour services worldwide, either pre-booked or on-demand.
