Cypresswood Landing police perimeter: 2 in custody after stolen vehicle crashes into Purple Wisteria Lane house, deputies say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) —Constable deputies arrested at least two people, including a boy, whom they believe ditched a stolen vehicle that crashed into a north Harris County home, according to law enforcement.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office said it set up a police perimeter around a home in the 5000 block of Purple Wisteria Lane, off Cypresswood Drive, to search for three Black suspects.

A Precinct 4 social media post showed an image of a Kia vehicle at rest next to a damaged porch area.

Constable Mark Herman said an investigation revealed the vehicle, seen with Massachusetts plates, was freshly stolen, and a 17-year-old was behind the wheel.

Another suspect, identified as a young juvenile male, was also detained, Herman added.

No injuries were immediately reported. The constable’s office also didn’t say whether anyone was at home when the crash occurred.
