Police responded to multiple reports regarding a naked man on I-93 Sunday.
At around 4:15 p.m., Massachusetts State Police received several calls about a man in the travel lanes of I-93 near exit 15 without any clothing on. Troopers found the man laying in the lanes of the southbound side of the highway when they arrived, a police spokesperson said.
Troopers detained the man the secured him in a cruiser. EMS was also called to the scene. The man was transported to Boston Medical Center by EMS, with police following. His identity has not been released.
A similar incident reportedly occurred the day before. State police responded to Route 79 North, near the border between Fall River and Freetown, for a report of a naked man who was jogging in the middle of the highway, according to The Fall River Reporter.
The man was found to be calm, but bleeding from his knees and feet. He was brought to a local hospital by EMS, per the Reporter.
The description of the man in the Fall River incident matches the appearance of the man in the I-93 incident, according to a video of the latter viewed by Boston.com. However, it is unclear if the two situations are related.
